July is a great reminder that summer in Red Bluff and the surrounding Tehama County area is meant to be enjoyed—outside, with family, and with community all around you.

I’m Sean Rix—a devoted father to two amazing boys and a caring husband to my beautiful wife, Heather. Since 2007, I’ve been with State Farm, and in 2011 I took the leap to establish my own agency. One thing I’ve always felt strongly about is giving back to the community that’s supported me—whether that’s through my work as a Director of the Red Bluff Tehama County Chamber of Commerce or just showing up for the neighbors who make this place feel like home.

That’s why I love encouraging folks to take a quick look at their coverage during the busiest, most exciting months of the year. July is when plans change fast—trips pop up, people spend more time on the road and around town, and recreational time turns into real life moments you’ll want to be prepared for.

And since we’re all out living it, July also brings some awesome local events worth sharing. Wednesday Night Farmer’s Market, and Summer Concerts at the Kelly Griggs Museum. For the kids, Spotlight Cinema offers Summer Kids Shows on Mondays all summer long and don’t forget “Take Five Tuesday,”. And when it’s time to cool down, the McGlynn City Pool is now open—and public swim is FREE for all kids under age 18 all summer long.

Of course, July isn’t just about local fun—July 4th (Independence Day) is a big celebration with fireworks and hometown pride, and July also includes meaningful international observances like World Population Day and Nelson Mandela International Day. With peak 📷 tourism season underway, families and visitors are also coming through, and you can really feel that summer energy—especially with all the seasonal favorites like fresh berries and peaches showing up everywhere.

If you plan a trip, riding more often, spending more time outdoors, or you just want comfort before the summer gets even busier, I’d love to help. If you’d like a coverage check-in, reach out anytime—I’m here for our Red Bluff community.
